Already 20 days into 2006? WTF?
Found out today that George Bush is visiting India first week of March. Haven't really been reading or watching news in earnest in a while (which feels kind of good actually) and every now and then, people in the office keep talking about what's going on in the world, most of which leaves my memory almost instantly. But hearing about this today prompted me to read the front page of Times of India. According to the paper, the trip is still tentative. His seat is waitlisted or something.
Another very interesting piece of news that struck me a couple of days ago is this satellite NASA has launched that's heading to PLUTO. Apparently, it will arrive there only (relative) in 2015. Dang. How does such stuff even get planned? If I'm not mistaken, and correct me if I'm wrong, the blue planet is some 2 billion miles away.
Bombay is as crazy as ever, and getting nuttier by the day. I'm starting to feel the effects of lack of nature and greenery around. There's so much focus on construction of new buildings but there hardly seems to be any on putting some greenery somewhere within this intense concrete jungle. Malls and shopping arcades cropping up all over the place.
